Traditional Trahanas
“Trahanas” is literally crushed wheat mixed with milk. Traditionally, it is shaped into small pieces and left to dry in the sun.
The dried small pieces are boiled in water and enjoyed as soup. When you boil the “Trahanas” it forms a creamy like and salty porridge.
Way of Cooking: Place the trahanas in a sausepan and cover it with water. Let it soak for 1-2 hours.
Add chicken cube or fresh chicken. Simmer the soup for 30-45 minutes.
Five minutes before you turn the heat off add the halloumi “Chrysos” (optional).
Ingredients: Goat Sheep milk, Wheat (Gluten), Salt.
Without addictives, preservatives or colouring.
